Saqib's unfiltered notes

what if I wrote a novel

It bubbles inside again. The thought of writing a novel. I've ignored previous times for various reasons. Perfection syndrome has been the biggest factor. I judge myself more than I write. I expect to write a blockbuster out of the gate, and that pressure doesn't help either.

I must entertain this idea once more. What if I could?

I don't have to finish in a week. I could chip at it. Smaller word counts will still add up. This duration also provides ample time to bounce ideas around and address plot holes. If I stayed consistent, I could have something in 90 days. Or less. Quick math shows how additions can form something that seems impossible at the start.

300x90 = 27,000 500x90 = 45,000 750x90 = 67,500

Those daily words don't have to make sense either. They can be utter gibberish and still count. If I can spit out a first draft in 90 days, I've won. Quality can be fixed in drafts afterward.
