What does a man need?
Sometimes, I complicate this question. The list of materialistic possessions required to please me becomes stupid. Power. Status. Experiences. Wealth. But other times, the answer reveals itself unprompted. It isn’t what I expect but what I need.
A sense of progress towards a better future. And days that don’t feel numb. That’s all it comes down to. If I can have fun while heading towards something I’m excited about, that’s enough light to fight away my dark clouds. That’s all a man needs.
Well, at least that’s all for me. For now.
