I had an interesting insight from Dr. K yesterday. He talks about how our brain finds different ways to be lazy. One of those creative ways is suggesting work when it knows you cannot do it immediately.

When you’re lying in bed ready to sleep, it brings up all the project ideas and unfinished business. When you’re sitting at your work desk, it reminds you of all the unfinished chores at home. Our brains is an energy-conserving survival-first machine. It does not give a shit about our success. Brain just wants to protect us.

That’s why our brain suggests all the work that can’t be done right now because it doesn’t require any energy. If it focuses on current setting, then there will be exertion, then it will have to work. It doesn’t want to work. It’s a lazy piece of shit machinery in that regard. All it cares about is survival.
